How do you deal with classroom management?
I will generally remind students to act appropriately when they are causing a disruption for the class. Our class follows a number of procedures that must be followed. If they are not being followed, the student will be reminded of the procedure and if problems still occur, they will remain in for recess and copy out the procedure that seems to be a problem. Should difficulties continue, a short assignment will be given entitled "WWJD" (What Would Jesus Do). In this paper, they would explain what happened that day, giving several reasons why they think their actions were wrong and then they need to come up with a plan to do the right thing next time. This assignment would be signed by the teacher and sent home for parents to review with their child. The sheet would be returned to school the next day.Back to Top
