My name is Becky Palys. I am a product of the Arab City School System. Upon graduating from Arab
High School in 1996, I attended Wallace State Community College and then transferred to Auburn
University. I graduated from Auburn in 2000 and began teaching first grade at Arab Primary that
fall. I earned my Master's degree from the University of Alabama in 2003. I also had the privilege of
being an Alabama Reading Academy teacher during the summers of 2005 and 2006. I love my job
and thank God every day for the opportunities He has given me.
I am married to a wonderful man named Andy who works as a computer technician for Cullman City
Schools. We have a very close family who we enjoy spending time with as much as possible.
I am a member of Welti Cumberland Presbyterian Church where I teach Sunday School. I also sing in
the choir there.
I enjoy reading, walking, singing, working out in my yard, and spending time with family and friends.
I am also a huge Auburn fan. War Eagle!
The mission for Mrs. Palys' class is for all students to become life-long learners. I want my students to
be successful in all areas of their lives and become productive members of the community. We are a
family of learners who will encourage each other to do our best each day.
