Message from the President

To the Families of Vestavia Hills Elementary Cahaba Heights,

Hello! My name is LaDonna Morrow.  I am honored and excited to your PTO President for the 2011-2012 school year.  On behalf of the PTO, we would like to extend a warm welcome back to school to all VHECH families and staff.  I hope your summer was enjoyable and filled with many happy family memories. I would also like to extend a warm welcome to our incoming kindergarten families as well as to the student who are new to our school.

Although no two school years are ever alike, this year, in particular looks to be very exciting for VHECH.  As always, the focus for the PTO is to support students, teachers and parents through enriching activities by bringing families together and enhancing the learning environment. With a collective effort from all our families we will proudly make our community stronger.

In order to stay informed of PTO events, please check our website for monthly newsletters and additional items of interest. We also hope you will consider joining us at our monthly meetings.  This year, PTO Board meetings will be held on the first Thursday of each month at 8:00am, except for those on delayed openings, in which case they start at 9:00am in the Library.  All PTO members are welcome to attend the PTO Board meetings as we are very interested in your input/feedback on our new events and direction.  I also encourage you to contact me directly with any questions or concerns via email at morrow3615@aol.com.
