Vestavia Hills City School
Preschool Program Information
Vestavia Hills City Schools offers a Preschool Early Childhood Program for typically developing peers with enrollment in late January for the following school year. Our program is always growing and changing to best meet the needs of our preschoolers with disabilities. We plan to have an approximate balance of both special needs children and typical peers in our classes. Our program is based on Developmental Standards from the Alabama State Department of Education. The curriculum is language based and focuses on developmentally appropriate books and themes.
We are looking for typical peers that have age appropriate social, communication, behavior and motor skills. We will offer three classes, one located at East Elementary, one at West Elementary and one at Cahaba Heights Elementary. Services will be provided up to 5 days per week from 8:00-12:30 pm. A one-time registration fee of $100.00 and $70.00 supply fee will be due upon completion and acceptance of an application and registration packet. A monthly tuition fee of $250.00 is due by the 5th of each month. Cost will be prorated by the number of days your child plans to attend (one to five days per week). If you are interested in your child participating in our program, please complete the application form available at the Vestavia Hills Board of Education located at 1204 Montgomery Highway at the above address, or at your zoned school office. Applications should be returned to your zoned preschool. If your child is accepted, confirmation will be provided, as room is available. If you have any questions please contact Linda Brady at 402-5316. We look forward to working with you and your children.
