Trip to Guillan's Farm
Parents,We are VERY excited about our upcoming spring field trip. We will be traveling toGullion Farms inSomerville,
AL(near Brewer High School)ON
MONDAY, APRIL 2ND. Not
only will the students get to enjoy some amazing hands on experiences, we will
also get to haveour POD EASTER EGG HUNT
this day as well. At the farm, the
students will each get to dye one egg.
However, for the EGG HUNT,each child isasked to bring 12
PLASTIC PRIZE STUFFED EGGS(no chocolate
please). We will be taking sack
lunches from the lunchroom. PARENTS ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR THEIR OWN
LUNCH. THERE IS NOT A CONCESSION ON SITE
TO PURCHASE FOOD ITEMS.
Some of the fieldtrip activities are:
Learning
about eggs—gathering, dying, hunting
Planting
a garden
Milking a cow
Fishing
Horse
Drawn Wagon rides
Roping
Station
Nature
hike
Petting zoo
The children will need to wear their class fieldtrip shirt and TENNIS SHOES. We will leave the school promptly at
8:15. Parents are welcome to wait at the
soccer field parking lot and follow the buses.
The cost for the students is $10.00, which includes the farm, bus driver, and
fuel. The cost for parents is $8.00. NO SIBLINGS PLEASE.

_______ I will be attending and chaperoning the fieldtrip with my child. Since I am
attending the fieldtrip, I understand that I WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR GETTING MY CHILD’S
EASTER BASKET AND 12 PRIZE FILLED EGGS TO
THE FARM.
_______ I AM NOTattending the fieldtrip. I understandthat I need to Send my
child’s Easter Basket on the day of the fieldtrip, along with 12 prize filled eggs.
