| Dear Parents,
My class will be tested for DIBELS Wednesday. I hope with all the
reading we've been doing this year it will continue to be high on your
priority all through the summer. Children can drop 20 words per minute if
you neglect reading during the summer. We really don't want that to happen
to anyone after all this hard work. Please encourage your child to READ,
READ, READ all summer long. It will be the best thing you will do for them
this summer. Thanks for all of your help and encouragement.
This will be our last Spelling Test for this year. The words are:
pancake, napkin, thunder, squirm, window, people, naughty, teacher, house &
place. Our bonus word is Second Grade.
This week in Social Science we will continue to learn about dinosaurs.
We are still learning about the traits & characteristics of dinosaurs. The
children are making a booklet with information about each dinosaur we study
about.
There's a lot going on in the next three weeks, please look below for
upcoming events.
