I have taught first grade for 18 years. I received my undergraduate degree
from Athens State, and I received my Masters degree from Alabama. I have
have two children that are grown. I have two grandchildren that are my pride
and joy. I love to go shopping and read a good book. I love going to the
beach, I enjoy playing the organ and golfing. I enjoy spending a lot of time
with my grandchildren and I look forward to spending a lot of time with your
child in my classroom. I am looking forward to a great year!
I want to instill the love of learning for each child in my classroom. I
want every child to leave first grade with the tools needed to be able to
pick up a book and be a confident reader the rest of his/her life. I hope
that each child will leave my room with the same yearning for reading he/she
had when he/she entered first grade, and be even more excited about it at
the end of the year.
Our mission is for all of us to be good friends, respect each other, always
do our best and use our best first grade effort.
