AR Notes

   Silverhill Elementary now has Renaissance Place, which allows students to test on ALL books that have an Accelerated Reader test.  PTA generously provided us with beautiful AR shirts designed by two of our talented students.  (To see a picture of our shirts, please visit the  Photos section on my website.) To earn a shirt students must have a comprehension score of at least 85% and earn the following number of points:

Kindergarten-10 points
First and Second grade-25 points
Third and Fourth grade-35 points
Fifth and Sixth grade-50 points  
   If you have a book at home or check one out at a public library, you may go to the AR book finder and see if that book has a test, the book level, and the number of points the book is worth.  Click here to go to the AR Book Finder website.
