I grew up in Valdosta, Georgia where I graduated from Lowndes County High
School. I attend Enterprise Jr. College and the University of Montevallo
where I received my bachelor of science in early childhood education and
elementary education. I completed my masters degree from Troy State
University. I have taught for 14 years in the Montgomery Public School
System and for 17 years total. I have been at Halcyon for the past 8
years. While at Halcyon I have taught first grade in room 108.
I also taught for five years at Harrison Elementary where I taught various
grades. My husband Bill and I have been married for 15 years. We have four
children; 2 boys and 2 girl. Our boys attend Halcyon and Carr. Wenton is in
the 4th grade and William is in the 8th grade. Winola and Willa Tate attend
Heritage Day Care Center. Bill is the program director at Brantwood
Children's Home. We spend our extra time participating in church activities
and sports.
My classroom will be busy, productive and exciting. While in my class
the children will learn first grade currriculum in a safe, challenging, and
accepting enviroment.
