Welcome to our class! We’re honored that you have chosen Hoover Christian
School to be a part of your child’s education.
My name is Beverly Trent, and I’m the third and fourth grade teacher here at
HCS. I really enjoy spending my days with children and watching them learn
and grow. When I was a child, I attended Hoover Christian School, and I am
thankful for the impact Christian education has had on my life. I earned my
master's degree in elementary education from the University of Tennessee at
Chattanooga. I also have a bachelor’s degree in broadcast journalism from
Southern Adventist University. I spent two years as a television news
reporter in Chattanooga, but I decided my heart was in teaching, and I’ve
never regretted making that career change!
My highest goal for our children is that they would come to know Jesus Christ
as the treasure of their lives. My hope is to work beside you to guide your
child into a personal relationship with God. I also want our children to
develop a love of learning that will stay with them throughout their lives.
In our class, we enjoy learning! Every day there is something new to explore
and discover!
I want to promise you two things as your child’s teacher:
1) You have my word that I will work every day to make sure the
education your child receives here at Hoover Christian School is second to
none.
2) Anytime you have a thought, question, concern, or suggestion, not
only will I be open to it, but I will respond promptly with action. You can
be assured that I will take your ideas seriously.
I consider myself to be your partner in your child's education, and I am
