Dear Parents,
Here is the new spelling and reading study guide information for lesson 25. Please be sure that your child reads, studies spelling and robust vocabulary words over the weekend. Some students' reading grades have dropped and there seems tobe as correlation with the students that are not turning in homework on Monday mornings. They need to study on the days they are away from school in order to retain the information and be ready for the weekly test.
StudyTips for the week of Monday, 4/2/12-Monday, 4/5/12:" Town Hall" The Robust Vocabulary Words are tested in context. Please pay special attention to them during the week. Focus on the definitions the first couple of nights...then focus on real life applications of the words in context the rest of the week. We want them to think.
Always think...What is an example? What is not an example? What is the opposite?
**A Genre'question is always asked on each weekly test. Be sure to look at the type of Genre' each week. (Always located in the blue box on the 1st page of the reading story.)
