Sentence Dictation Tests
We will begin adding dictation sentences to our spelling test. This week I have given students the test as an example. Next week will be for a spelling & language grade.
The test will be administered the following way:
· I will call out a sentence composed of 3 to 10 past spelling words.
· I will repeat the sentence once.
· The students will then repeat the sentences to me.
· The students will then write the sentence.
Sentences will be scored based on:
· Correct spelling (4 points each)
· Correct punctuation (2 points each)
· Correct capitalization (2 points each)
· Omitted words will count as a spelling error (4 points each)
Sentences will be composed of the words below; in addition to other1stgrade wordsyour child should already know.
