Hello and welcome to first grade! My name is Susan Riepe. In addition to
teaching, I am also pursuing my Master's degree in Reading and Literacy. I
am married to Mason (a Ranger School Instructor at Ft. Benning) and we have
two children together. Taylor is my daughter. She is entering fourth grade
this year and enjoys playing softball. Nate is a rambunctious
four year old that likes to run, climb, and jump off of furniture. My
family and I moved to Phenix City two years ago from Fayetteville, NC. I
joined the Lakewood Elementary School staff for the 2008-2009 school year and
am so excited to be back this year!
This is my third year of teaching first grade. It is so much fun to watch
the gains that first graders make (especially in reading).
Some things that I enjoy during my free time are reading, playing with my
kids, riding bikes, swimming, playing with pets, and going to amusement
parks.
Lakewood Elementary School, in partnership with family and community, will
develop responsible and productive students who are prepared for the
challenges of the future.
