About The Teacher

I have been a teacher at Marengo Academy for 13 years, and I also taught
three years at Demopolis Academy. I have a B.S. degree in Elementary
Education from the University of West Alabama (Livingston University. I teach
4th, 5th, and 6th grade Math and History.

My husband is Daryl Sammons, and we have two sons, Christopher and
Joseph. We love being a part of the Marengo Academy family. I look
forward to a wonderful year with your child.

If your child has any special needs or concerns that I should know about to
help make his or her school year a success, please make sure I know. You
may call to schedule a conference at school, or email me

Mission For The Class

I want to teach my students the importance of Math, History, and Technology
in their everyday lives. I also hope to answer that never ending
question, "When am I ever going to use this?".

I pray that my students will become self disciplined, well organized,
respectful of others, and responsible for their education.

Remember we're a TEAM: Together Everyone Achieves More!

We will always do our BEST!

Teacher’s Prayer

I want to teach my children how
To live this life on earth,
To face its struggles and its strife
And to improve their worth.
Not just the lesson in a book
Or how the rivers flow,
But how to choose the proper path
Wherever they may go.
To understand eternal truth
And know right from wrong,
And gather all the beauty of
A flower and a song.
For if I help the world to grow
In wisdom and in grace,
Then I shall feel that I have won
And I have filled my place.
And so I ask Your guidance, God,
That I may do my part,
For character and confidence
And happiness of heart.
