Policy on Early Warning

p. 10 in the St. Clair County Code of Student Conduct

A student will receive a referral to the Early Warning Program when he/she has the following:

• Three (3) unexcused absences

No note of explanation was sent or the absence was such that it was unexcused

• Ten (10) Excused absences- undocumented (This applies to grades K-8)

The parents/guardians have sent a written explanation of the absence (parent note), but the note was not provided by a physician, attorney, or other official.

• Ten (10) unexcused/excused undocumented tardy for students in grades K-8.
• Ten (10) unexcused check in/ early check out.
