Important Dates and Announcements:

March 8th – 19th  – Canned Food Drive

March 15th – ABC Pepsi Sale Begins

March 16th – Last Day to Order Field Day T-Shirts ($10.00)

March 17th – Foreign Language Club

March 17th – Nacho Sale

March 18th – Report Cards Sent Home (Please sign and return one copy as soon as possible.)

March 19th – Recognition Program at 9:00 a.m.

March 22nd – 26th – Spring Break, NO SCHOOL

March 29th – April 2nd ARMT/SAT Testing

 

*Please note ARMT/SAT Testing will be held the week after spring break.  It is VERY important that students are at school on time.  Also, don’t forget to get a full night of sleep and eat a healthy breakfast.  We want to do our best on the test! J

*Please return the Water Festival Permission slip as soon as possible.  I MUST have this slip in order for your student to attend.  The Water Festival will be held April 27th and is free of cost to students.

*Parents, we are now collecting money for the Montgomery field trip.  The cost is $38.00 per student.  All money and permission slips are due by April 15th.


Reading:

  • We will have AR time daily. It is important that you bring your AR book to school every day. (Read 15 - 20 minutes in your AR book at home each night.)
  • Read Welcome to Chinatown! (Theme 5, Lesson 25).  This story can be found in your reading textbook on page 650. *TEST FRIDAY*
  • Study reading vocabulary words: destinations, aspects, vigorously, reconstruct, gorgeous, festive, ornate, symbolize, expectantly, misfortune *TEST FRIDAY*
  • ARMT/SAT Practice

Math:

  • We will have AM time daily.  This is an individualized program. Objectives will be assigned daily on an individual basis.
