Parent/Teacher Communication

Parent/Teacher Communication

Welcome to Mrs. DeShazo's, Mrs. Terry's and Mrs. Harrell's team. We feel
that communication between parents and teachers is vital to a child's success
in school. To help with communication, we wanted to let you know ways in
which we will be communicating with you, and ways in which you may
communicate with us.

1-Weekly Communication Folder (sent home on Monday or the first day of the
week): The weekly folder will have your child's conduct grade from the week
before. If they have signed the conduct book, we will let you know how many
times and the reasons why they signed it.
Please sign the conduct sheet letting us know you have seen it. Feel free to
write back with any comments/questions you may have for us.

2-Skills Agenda: The skills agenda will be sent home weekly in the
communication folder. It lets you know the skills/assignments your child will
be working on that week. It will also have VERY IMPORTANT MESSAGES at the
bottom. Please ask your child to see this every week! We suggest keeping it
posted in a visible place at home.

3-Progress Reports/Report Cards: Every 4 weeks you will be receiving an
update on your child's grades. Please sign these and return them to school
the next day.

4-Email: We have e-mail addresses and will email you if that is a form of
communication you feel comfortable using. Please send us your email address
at the beginning of the school year. Listed below are our addresses:

kristy.deshazo@sccboe.org
bridgette.harrell@sccboe.org
jennifer.terry@sccboe.org

5-Phone: The school phone number is 640-2190. If you need to speak to us,
just call the school and leave us a message. We try very hard to respond
during the school day, but things occasionally come up that prevent us from
doing so. We will do our best to respond in a timely manner, though.
