Dear Parents,

Thank you so much for your support of Moody Middle School during the Boosterthon FunRun!!  We had a great time with the Booster team coming into the classrooms, teaching character lessons and cheering our students on!

Just to let you know, your students ran a grand total of 17,230 laps around the Boosterthon Speedway on Friday!  That is 1,076.8 Miles!  WAY TO GO!!

ALSO!!! We hope to profit over $9,000, and YES, we are hoping for 100% collection!

Parents, we need your help! Please send your pledge money in an envelope to your students’ homeroom teachers as soon as possible. Our goal is to have the pledge money turned in by this Friday, the 20th!

We are excited to use this money to further enhance the learning experience of your child here at Moody Middle School!

Once again, thank you for your generosity and support of Moody Middle School during the Boosterthon Fun Run.  Please remember that the goal is to have ALL of our pledge money turned in by this Friday!!!

*Please read the letter from Mrs. Allred, our principal, below.  Thanks :)

Parents,

I just wanted to let you know that we have had a GREAT first 3 days with the Boosterthon FUN RUN at Moody Middle!!!  The Booster guys kicked it off with a high energy pep rally on Tuesday afternoon and have been in the classrooms teaching team work, character lessons, and awarding prizes yesterday and today!  I wish you could have seen the teachers at the pep rally dancing to the Cupid Shuffle in front of all the students.  They were great!! In case you are not exactly sure what the "Boosterthon" is that your students have been talking about, I wanted to give you a little bit more information. Last year Moody Elementary participated in the FUN RUN and was INCREDIBLY successful with raising funds for the year!  We hope to be just as successful here at Moody Middle this year, but we NEED YOUR HELP!! Your students will be asking for pledges for the laps that they will be running in the FUN RUN on Friday the 13th. These are the 2 types of pledges:

#1 PLEDGE PER LAP-- A dollar amount pledged to the school for every lap that your student runs.  Each student will run between 30 and 35 laps during the FUN RUN.

#2 FLAT DONATIONS-- A donation that does not depend on the number of laps your student runs.

Prizes will be awarded for both Pledges Per Lap & Flat Donations.

Parents, we do not want you to feel like this is completely on you.  That is why we have asked the students to come up with the TOP 10 people they could call to ask for pledges.  This is a great way for grandparents, aunts and uncles, friends, etc. to be involved in helping our school. I would like to encourage all of you to go to the Boosterthon website www.funrun.com with your students to learn more about the program!!  Enter your students access code and enjoy the video!! Thank you so much for the support you have already given, and we welcome you to join us at the FUN RUN on Friday, November 13th!!!

Sincerely,

Debra Allred

Principal
