About Coach Hayes

I'm Ashley Hayes and this is my third year at PGES.  Prior to PGES, I worked
at Gresham Elementary in Hoover.  I'm a graduate of Shades Mountain Christian
School, the University of North Alabama (Go Lions!) and UAB.  I love to run 
and play volleyball.  Tennessee Vols are my favorite BASKETBALL team.  

I'm looking forward to integrating some new ideas into our program this year 
and can't wait to get started!!!  

 

My favorite sports are volleyball and softball!  (Times have changed sine I
first started working here!)  I've coached volleyball, basketball, and
softball and love it! Oh ya, I've coached Newcomb and Track and Field too!

 

By the way - CONGRATS TO MY MIDDLE SCHOOL SOFTBALL GIRLS - THEY BEAT HUEYTOWN
4 TIMES THIS SEASON, TWO OF THOSE BEING IN THE COUNTY TOURNAMENT!  WAY TO GO
GIRLS!

Goals of the Program

   Our goal is to produce healthy, lifelong movers for life!  We want to
expose our students to a variety of ways to participate in physically active,
health-improving behaviors.  

   We also STRONGLY promote positive character development as well.  We teach
our students to have respect for themselves and others, and always 
demonstrate good sportsmanship.
