1. DOL 3, sentences 1 and 2 - Daily Oral Language exercise - pick up the sentences by the door; you will copy two sentences each day on your own paper and make corrections while you are copying them; we will correct them together in class, and you will hand all sentences in on Friday. You will write all the sentences on the same paper, and you are responsible for making up any sentences you miss because you are absent. The DOLs are worth 100 daily grade points.

3. A Raisin in the Sun - pass out study guide and quotations.
4. Homework: Write sentences for the vocabulary words. Vocabulary words are on the board, or you can print them from my web page.

2. DOL 1 Quiz (100 Q) Next week this will be a test grade; you will have a DOL Test every Tuesday (test on grammar). You can earn one bathroom pass if you receive 100% on the test.
.3. Voc. 3 words are on the board, and you will have a test on them on Thursday. The test consists of fill in the blank sentences and choosing synonyms and antonyms in a multiple choice format.

5. One paragraph on "A Dream Deferred" and the effectiveness of the literary devices used in the poem.
