My name is Katie Hallman. This is my twelfth year teaching second grade at
Prattville Primary School. I grew up in Prattville and take great pride in
teaching at the school where I attended as a child. I graduated from Troy
State University with a degree in Early Childhood Education and a few years
later I completed my masters degree. My husband and I have three little boys.
It is the mission of Prattville Primary School to develop in our children a
life-long love for learning by encouraging student performance, within a safe
and nurturing environment, where children maximize their potential.
Our Staff Believes:
1. Student learning is the primary goal for our school.
2. All students have value and worth, and are capable of learning.
3. High expectations increase individual student performance and self-esteem.
4. Students learn best through a variety of instructional approaches in which
they are actively involved.
5. Learning needs to be meaningful, providing students with many
opportunities to experience success.
6. Students learn best in a safe, clean, and nurturing environment.
7. Parental involvement is critical in a student's educational development.
8. Good communication is a key to involving parents, teachers, students and
community, in their mutual effort to support and extend a student's education.
