The new cut score for the biology AHSGE
subtest has been set at 445. That is a scaled score out of 999. There are 90
questions on the test, and for the March & previous test dates, 36 questions
correct is passing.

Students who pass the coursework, but
not the subtests of the AHSGE are required to take a course as 1 elective
credit called Prep Assistance. This course is taken during the day at no
charge. Any student who wishes to opt out of the course must have a form from
the Alabama State Department of Education signed by parents, principal, &
counselor.
