Early College Enrollment Program

The Early College Enrollment Program is for 11th and 12th grade students who
want to attend Faulkner State Community College (FSCC) during those two years
and earn a standard high school diploma and a one or two year technical
degree from FSCC.

Requirements for Entry into the ECEP Programs.
1. Students must be in 11th or 12th grade.
2. Students must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5.
3. Students must take a minimum of 12 credit hours per semester at FSCC.
4. Students must have passed all portions of the AHSGE.
5. Students must have one of the following: (1)a minimum score of 20 on both
the English and math parts of the ACT, (2)a minimum score of 480 on both the
verbal and math portions of the SAT, or (3)a passing score on the COMPASS or
equivalent test.
6. Students must show an aptitude for their selected area of study.
7. Students must declare a career/technical major at FSCC.
8. Students accepted into the FSCC Early College Enrollment Program will
receive a scholarship covering the cost of tuition and fees. However,
students will be responsible for the cost of books and supplies and will be
responsible for their own transportation.

The Baldwin County Board of Education requires the following from ECEP
students:
1. Students must not have excessive absences from FSCC classes. Students
attendance will be monitored by FSCC and reported to high school registrars.
Excessive absences will result in dismissal from the ECEP program.
2. If a student is dismissed or withdraws from FSCC, the student may not re-
enroll in the local high school in the middle of a term. The student may
only enroll at the beginning of a term.
3. Students, parents, high school principal, and the superintendent must sign
a Transportation Agreement form before participation in the ECEP program.
4. Students who participate in extra-curricular and after-school activities
must comply with the BCBOE student dress code. These students must also
check in with the office before participating in these activities.
5. Students meeting eligibility requirements for the ECEP program must be
interviewed by representatives of FSCC and the BCBOE to determine readiness
for this program. The committee decides which students participate in the
program.
