Hello! My name is Delsia Easley. I am the mother of four wonderful
children and in my spare time I enjoy reading, being with family and friends,
ceramic painting, traveling,community service, and surfing the Internet . My
favorite colors are pink,green,and black. My favorite foods are shrimp and
fried okra. I am a proud member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., Lambda
Eta Omega Chapter, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northeast Alabama, Girl
Scouts, and Alabama Foster and Adoptive Parent Association.
I graduated from Jacksonville State University where I earned my Bachelor
and Master degrees in education. I attended first through fifth grades at
W. E. Striplin Elementary. I am a proud graduate of the Gadsden City School
System. I began my teaching career in 1993 and my passion for public
education deepened when I became principal in 2004. I love kids, helping
others, and I absolutely love being an educator!
It is the mission of W. E. Striplin to provide cognitive and affective
learning through the use of appropriate curricula, programs, personnel,
instructional strategies and facilities. We will strive to foster social,
emotional, and physical growth to the extent that all regular, special
education, and accelerated students may reach their educational potential,
and experience success in their chosen profession and/or occupation in a
global and technologically advanced society.
