4. Collect a list of American heroes – past and present. Include a brief
description of the man or woman and an illustration.
F. Unit Essay
Write a persuasive essay about who really is an American hero. How does your
vision of a hero motivate your actions as an adult? In what ways do popular
media and literature affect the way we expect our heroes to act?
