Your legal rights & responsibilities upon becoming an . . . Adult
"There are many new rights and responsibilities that come with being an
adult. It is important to keep in mind that as an adult you're held
accountable for your own actions. You need to know the laws governing your
rights and responsibilities. This guide and its accompanying website
LawForKids.org aims to give you a basic understanding of some important
Arizona laws."
The above quote was taken from a new booklet we have just received in the
Career Center. We have enough copies for every graduating senior. So please
stop in Room 181 and pick up your free copy. It is filled with loads of
important information just for YOU!!

Acing Your Job Interview
Common Interview Q’s & A’s
“Tell me about yourself.”
Focus on your response; select one or two items and use specific details or
examples to illustrate those points.
"Why did you decide to pursue this career?”
Talk about what excites you about the position you’re seeking. Your response
can tell an employer about your level of motivation and enthusiasm.
“What difficulties have you faced on a job or internship?”
Turn negatives into positives. When discussing your previous experience,
describe problems as challenges and focus on your solutions, not difficulties.
“What is your greatest weakness?”
Take a proactive approach. Talk about areas in which you would like to
improve and skills you would like to develop.
“Why should we hire you?”
Specifically mention what you can offer the company that no one else can. If
you don’t have much experience, talk about specific challenges you faced in
college and how you overcame them.
