Recycling Scholarships for High School Seniors
Arizona Department of Environmental Quality
Under the Recycling Scholarship Program ADEQ will award 10 scholarships of $1,000 each to high school seniors to be used for expenses at a college or university in Arizona.
To apply, students must submit a proposal outlining a waste reduction or recycling project in their school or community to be implemented during March 2009.
The 10 scholarship recipients will be selected by ADEQ based on the proposals submitted.
Proposals must be received by ADEQ no later than February 6, 2009 and the scholarship winners will be announced on February 20th.

SAE INTERNATIONAL 2009
ENGINEERING SCHOLARSHIPS
In recognition of the important contributions made by engineers in improving the quality of our lives, particularly those related to mobility, SAE is proud to be able to offer more than 60 corporate- and university-sponsored scholarships to qualified students who are interested in the study of engineering and related sciences.

SIEMENS COMPETETION
In partnership with the College Board, the Siemens Foundation established the Siemens Competition in Math, Science & Technology and the Siemens Awards for Advanced Placement. The Foundation is a not-for-profit corporation dedicated to providing scholarships and increasing access to higher education for talented mathematics, science, engineering, and technology students in the US.
The Siemens Competition seeks to promote excellence by encouraging students to undertake individual or team research projects. It fosters intensive research that improves students’ understanding of the value of scientific study and informs their consideration of future careers in these disciplines.
You can compete as an individual or as a member of a team. Individual projects promote independent research. Team projects foster collaborative research efforts, as well as individual contributions to the cooperative endeavor.
Scholarships for winning projects range from $1,000 to $100,000.

Horatio Alger Association Scholarship Program
The Horatio Alger Association annually awards more than $12 million in college scholarships and grants making it one of the nation’s largest scholarship providers. The scholarship programs provide financial assistance to students throughout the nation who have financial need and have exhibited integrity and perseverance in overcoming personal adversity. Scholarship criteria also include high school graduation in spring/summer of 2009, commitment to pursue a bachelor’s degree, and US citizenship. The scholarships are given to deserving students each year and range in award value from $2,500 to $20,000. Fifty (50) $5,000 scholarships will be awarded to Arizona students. Arizona Milk Producers Scholarship
Win a $10,000, $7,000, or $5,000 scholarship. Scholarships may be used at any Arizona university. Funds are issued to the university he/she attends (in AZ), to be applied to expenses incurred in achieving their educational goals.
Their program coincides with the football season at Arizona’s three universities. Three contestants will be drawn each week, one from each post office box. Winners will receive a pair of tickets to the next home game of ASU, U of A, or NAU – depending on which post office box the winning entry was mailed to. All contestants will receive an application that must be completed and returned by the given date to remain eligible for the scholarship. From the 33 contestants, 15 finalists will be selected based on their entry and will receive a pair of choice seats for the FIESTA BOWL football game, played on Monday, January 5, 2009. At the Fiesta Bowl game, the 3 scholarship winners will be announced. Must be present to WIN!
