I am a certified athletic trainer and have been working at Apache Junction
High School for four years. I serve as the head athletic trainer after school
and take care of the athlete's injuries. Besides the Sports Medicine Career
Foundations, I also teach a basic athletic training class. I am originally
from Michigan and recieved my bachelor's degree in athletic training and
coorporate fitness at Grand Valley State University. I also received my
master's degree from the Arizona School of Health Sciences in sports health
care.
To give the student a basic understanding of the sports medicine profession
and the types of careers available in that field. Students will create goals
that will aid them in facilitating a career in sports medicine.
