Rules/Expectations

#1 Show respect for yourself and others at all times.
#2 Be prepared for class every day—bring pen, paper, materials, AR book, and
homework! Study for quizzes/ tests. (I will not provide pencils or paper.)
#3 Be on time, sitting in your desk, and ready to begin class when the tardy
bell rings (see consequences). If needed, turn in your homework, and/or
grab your clicker too, before the bell rings!
#4 School policies concerning no food, drinks, and hats in the classroom
will be followed. The only drinks allowed in the class are water bottles.
#5 No cell phones, i-pods, or any electronic devices allowed in class. The
first time I catch you with anything of this kind, I will confiscate it and
take it to the office.
#6 Tardies will be handled in accordance with the school handbook. If you
are late to class, you must go to the office to pick up a pass. YOU MUST
ALSO do the following for me:
**1st tardy: Write a 250 word paragraph explaining why you were late to
my class--this paragraph is homework and is due the next day.
**2nd tardy: Write a 350 word paragraph explaining why you were late to
my class. This is also due the following day.
**3rd tardy: Write a 500 word essay explaining why you were late to my
class. Again, this essay is due the following day.
If you fail to complete this homework, I will write you a referral. See
the student handbook for the rest of the tardy consequences.
