#1 Show respect for yourself and others at all times.
#2 Be prepared for class every day—bring pen, paper, materials, AR book, and
homework! Study for quizzes/ tests. (I will not provide pencils or paper.)
#3 Be on time, sitting in your desk, and ready to begin class when the tardy
bell rings (see consequences). If needed, turn in your homework, and/or
grab your clicker too, before the bell rings!
#4 School policies concerning no food, drinks, and hats in the classroom
will be followed. The only drinks allowed in the class are water bottles.
#5 No cell phones, i-pods, or any electronic devices allowed in class.
*1st offense = Confiscation of device & ICR
*2nd offense = Confiscation of device & Referral
Consequences
The following consequences will apply if you do not meet the expectations:

English Department Policies and Guidelines
No late work is accepted. Assignments must be turned in on time. If you
have an excused absence, you have one day for each day absent to turn in
missing assignments. (For example, if you are absent on Monday, all work
must be turned in no later than the beginning of class on Wednesday.)

All missed quizzes/tests are to be made up before school, at lunch, or after
school (not during class). You have 3 days to make up a test!!
The MLA format will be followed for all writing assignments (Times New Roman,
12 point type, one-inch margins, double-spaced. Heading (student's name,
teacher's name, class title and period, date) in top left corner.
Tardy Sweep
When you miss class because you are in tardy sweep:
You are responsible for turning in homework due that day to the tardy sweep
teacher. If you do not, you will receive a “0” for that day’s homework.
You will receive a "0" for that day's points done in class (a quiz, test, in-
class work, etc.).
You are also responsible for any homework due the following day.
