About The Teacher

This is my tenth year teaching English 10 and my seventh year teaching 
Enriched English 10 at AJHS.  
I have a Bachelor's Degree in Secondary Education/English from ASU.
I have a Master's Degree in Secondary Education/Reading 
from NAU.
In my spare time, I like to read, work out, do home improvement projects, 
travel, go to movies, get out into nature, hike, and spend time with my 
family and friends!

Mission For The Class

My number one priority in the 10th grade is to prepare my students to pass 
the AIMS Reading and Writing Tests they take in February.  My second 
priority (and the one closest to my heart) is to share my love of literature 
and language with my students.  I see us not so much as "teacher" 
and "students" but as collaborators and co-creators of a challenging and 
rewarding, fulfilling and fun learning experience.
