1-7-08: Directed Reading Chapter 7: Meiosis.
1-9-08: "Draw Meiosis" activity in class. This will be collected tomorrow.

1-10-08: In class quick lab on meiosis. Write up sheet will be due tomorrow
(1-11-08).
1-14-08: Directed Reading Chapter 8: Sexual Reproduction.
1-16-08: Critical Thinking packet. Due 1-18-08 at the beginning of the
period.
1-22-08: Progress reports were handed out today. They need to be signed by a
parent or guardian and turned in by Thursday 1-24-08.
1-24-08: Today in class I handed out a math lab called "Calculating Mendel's
Ratios". We will work on this assignment in class. For 2nd hour it will be
due at the end of class on Friday. For 3rd hour it will be due at the
beginning of class on Friday. For 4th hour it will be due at the beginning
of class on Friday. For 5th hour it will be due at the beginning of class on
Friday. For 6th hour it will be due at the beginning of class on Friday.
This will count as a lab
grade.
1-28-08: Today we will begin a lab on genotypes and phenotypes. The lab
write up will be due at the beginning of class on 1-30-08.
1-29-08: Today I posted a list of vocabulary words that the students are to
define. I will collect the words tomorrow. The list can be found in
the "handouts" section.
2-1-08: Today we worked in the computer lab and did an assignment I
collected at the end of the hour. If you missed the assignment, you can get
it from me and do it at home or in the library.
2-5-08: Today we did a Directed Reading assignment on "Complex Patterns of
Heredity" that I collected at the end of class.
2-11-08: Today we will begin a lab to discover the molecular structure of
DNA. We will work on this lab today, tomorrow, Wednesday, and possibly a
little bit on Thursday. The lab write up (study questions) are due Friday.
2-15-08: Today I handed out progress reports. Students are to have them
signed by a parent or guardian and retuned by Wednesday 2-20-08.
2-19-08: Today I handed out a Directed Reading worksheet and an Active
Reading worksheet over DNA replication. We worked on these in class. Any
work that was not completed is homework and will be collected tomorrow.
3-3-08: Today we will begin a lab on simulating protein synthesis. The lab
(including "Analysis and Conclusions" questions 1-3, "Critical Thinking and
Application" questions 1 and 2, and the "Going Further" question) will be
collected at the beginning of class on 3-5-08.
3-4-08: Today I handed out progress reports. Students who are missing credit
for having a previous progress report signed can get these progress reports
signed. I will give them credit for one missing progress report signature
grade.
3-26-08: Today I handed out progress reports for 2nd and 3rd hour. Students
are to get them signed by a parent or guardian. They are due for a grade by
the beginning of class Friday, 3-28-08.
3-28-08: Today I handed out progress reports for 6th hour. Students are to
get them signed by a parent or guardian. They are due for a grade by the
beginning of class Tuesday 4-1-08.
3-28-08: Lab write ups for the Natural Selection Lab are due on 4-1-08.
Please make sure you use complete sentences.
4-2-08: I handed out study guides in class today. They are to be completed
on a seperate sheet of paper. I will be collecting the selected questions on
Monday for a grade. The study guide can be found in the "Handouts" section.
5-12-08: Write up for the sea star dissection is due Wednesday 5-13-08.
5-13-08: Write up for the fetal pig dissection is due Friday 5-15-08. The
make up or alternative lab is available under the "Handouts" section.
