Class Intent:
This is a privilege class. Only those who would like to pass the AIMS test
and learn in the process should stay. This class is a different set up from
most other math classes, and there are certain expectations of the students
in order to have a well functioning room. If you have any questions, please
feel free to ask. Otherwise, be prepared to have a great semester.

Required Materials:
•	Sharpened pencils
•	Spiral notebook for taking notes
•	Pens

Class Work:
Everyday you will do a variety of actives ranging from small group work,
computer work, whole group work, and individual assignments. It is expected
that you do all assignments and turn them in on time. If you miss any work
due to an absence, there will be a designated place in the room to pick up
what you missed. It is your responsibility to gather, complete turn in the
make-up work. You have one day to make up work for every day you are absent.
But try not to be absent, since we all miss you when you are gone! 

Homework:
Homework will generally be assigned on a daily basis. Homework assignments
should be neat and organized. Each week, you are to pick up a homework sheet,
and at the beginning of each class, copy down the homework on the designated
board. Students should show all work and any additional work that would not
fit on the page can be turned in on an attached sheet of paper. Homework will
be passed in weekly.

Quizzes and Test:
Quizzes and test will be given periodically throughout the semester. Though
quizzes may not always be announced, students will know the date of a test a
week in advance. Student must show and turn in work for quizzes and test.
No work = No credit!

Availability:
Please try to make an appointment with Mr. Belcher or Ms. Dantos if you would
like extra help. Also, after school tutoring is available in the tech center
and there will be flyers posted with the availability schedule.

Grading:
Grading will be based on a point system.

Classroom Behavior Rules and Expectations:

have developed a classroom discipline plan that affords every student the
opportunity to mange his or her own behavior. Therefore, this plan will be in
effect at all times.
