Certain phrases will only be said in Spanish per Classroom Phrase
list.
Leaving your seat or talking will be done only with permission.
All electronic devices should be off and in your backpack during the
entire class period. If I see them out, I will take them away and you
will have to pick them up at the office at the end of the school day.
Consequences for not following Guidelines:

2nd offense: Before or after school detention
3rd offense: Two detentions and call parent or ICR

Daily Procedures:
Be in your seat before bell stops ringing.
Place your homework on your desk.
While attendance is being taken, do the mindset on the board or
overhead. This is part of your participation grade.
Restroom passes will only be used in the case of an emergency.
Ask me or someone next to you if you dont understand something.
Homework:
Only finished homework will be accepted.
The answers will be on the overhead or reviewed in class. You are
expected to correct every problem. If it is not done prior to coming
to class, do it during this time. Any homework I choose to collect
will be graded like a quiz.
Missed Class due to Absences:
If you have an excused absence you may make up the missed work.
You have one day for each day of excused absence to complete the
missed work.
See me at the beginning of class (before the bell rings or during
attendance time) for the work you missed and to schedule make up
times for tests or quizzes.
Make up tests and quizzes can be scheduled before or after school. If
you miss a quiz of test because you were in Sweep, ICR, suspended, or
due to an unexcused absence, you will be given a ZERO for the
test/quiz grade.
It is your responsibility to come to me about make-up work.

Class Materials:
Three ring binder with dividers in which students can keep homework,
lecture and project notes, and notebook paper.
I will periodically check your notebook for a 10-point participation
grade. If you do not have your notebook that day, you will not get
the points.
Pencils, pens, and erasers.
You may be doing things in Spanish class that you have never done before. It
is important that you listen in class, practice, volunteer, and speak when
asked. The only way you will learn to speak Spanish well is through hard work
and practice. I will do all I can to help you succeed in m y class but you
must do your part. If you need help then ask for it! I am always happy to
schedule time to meet with you before or after school, or during lunch to
assist you.
Have a great year!
