1.  Writing Sample

--Students write sample

2.  The Novel [A Tale of Two Cities]

--Students will read A Tale of Two Cities (unit test)

--Students will do a writing assignment

3.  Myths, Tales and Parables

--Students read various myths, tales, and parables

--Students will write their own parable

4.  Anglo-Saxon Literature

--Students read various pieces of Anglo-Saxon Literature

--Students will write a literary analysis

5.  Medieval Literature

--Students read various Medieval Literature

--Students will write a comparison/contrast essay

6.  Drama [Oedipus Rex, Antigone]

--Students read the two Greek tragedies

7.  Vocabulary

--Students do units throughout the year

--Vocabulary is part of the Final!

8.  Final – Semester test

--Students will take a test over information taught during first semester
