U.S. History will begin the Constitution on Monday by reading pages 144-149
and completing questions 6&7 on page 149. Tuesday we will watch a short
excerpt on the Signing of the Declaration and discuss the process. Students
will then draft their own declaration putting it into their own words.
Wednesday the students will Discuss the Constitution for Constitution Day. We
will read pages 149-155 and using the chart on 155, draw the American System
of government and its checks and balances. They will use construction paper
and show the entire process. Friday the class will continue the video 1776
and watch the continental congress in session as they adopt the Declaration
of Independence.
