6th grade- WEATHER REPORTER- WATCH DAILY WEATHER REPORT
SCIENCE LAB JOURNALS WILL BE COLLECTED AND GRADED EVERY FRIDAY
Labs you have completely finished:
Moving Air Experiment #1
Moving Air Experiment #2
Heat 'Em Up Experiment
Cloud Investigation
Hints for a GREAT lab "write-up"
-Questions- Must pertain to the directions of the experiment yet can go
beyond it with other questions you might have.
-Hypothesis- "If...then..." Example: If I place a balloon over the top of a
two-liter bottle and place this bottle in a bowl of hot water then I expect
the balloon will inflate or expand.
-Procedures- BE VERY SPECIFIC!!! Assume the reader has no idea what you did
and you need to tell them how to do the experiment!!
-Data- explain what you observe in detail so the reader can visualize what
you observed!!
-Conclusions- State your hypothesis again with a discussion that determines
if the hypothesis was accurate or inaccurate. If inaccurate discuss what can
be done to improve the experiment. Be sure to include any possible errors
that might have been made during the experiment.
7th grade- 'Vores and 'Phages- p19 Ecology book (see instructions below)
Instructions for 'Vores and 'Phages

necrophage, apivore, nectarivore, myrmecophage, and detritovore
2. Use a dictionary to define each word. Hint: Look for the first part
(prefix) of the word. Vore and phage BOTH= eater of
3. Draw a picture of a species that is an eater of that object
OR...write down three examples
7th grade Advanced Science- We need to complete the Planet X 'Vores and
Phages
project. See "Lost your work, find it here" for a link to the assignment.
YOU MAY EXPECT HOMEWORK MOST NIGHTS.
SOMETIMES HOMEWORK MIGHT BE COMPLETED IN CLASS.
ALL HOMEWORK MUST BE WRITTEN IN THE PLANNER! :)
