Homework
Homework Policy:
Homework is meant to be an extension of what we do in the classroom. In first grade, the purpose of homework is to help your child develop organizational skills, learn responsibility, and reinforce skills learned in school. It is also a time to involve parents in the educational process.
A homework log will be sent home on
Friday
and will be due back the following
Friday.
It will include a place to record reading, spelling practice, notes on current projects, and ideas for optional math practice. The homework page will be posted here if you need a copy. Be sure that your child reads 15-20 minutes a night!
