Kindergarten Arrival / Dismissal Routine

Arrival Routine for AM & All-Day Students

August 9th ONLY

Beginning at 7:45am students will enter via the foyer and be escorted and/or directed by staff to their classroom

where their teacher will be anxiously awaiting their arrival!

August 10th forward

Students will report to the KINDERGARTEN playground for recess from 7:45am - 8:10am. 

 

Arrival Routine for PM Students ONLY

Beginning at 11:55am students will enter the Kindergarten playground to meet their teacher.  Parent/guardians need

to escort their child to the gate.

Bus riders will be escorted by staff to the Kindergarten playground gate. 

 

ATTENTION ALL KINDERGARTEN PARENTS:  If the Kindergarten gate is CLOSED you need to stay with your child until the gate is opened by an Ellsworth Staff Member.

 

Dismissal Routine AM ONLY

August 9th forward

Parent/Guardian Pickups

Students will sit in class lines awaiting parent/guardian arrival at the Kindergarten Hallway doors to pick up their child.  Staff MUST see parent/guardian and verbally dismiss students.

 

Bus Riders

Students will be escorted to their bus and supervised while boarding by an Ellsworth Staff Member. 

 

Dismissal Routine PM and All-Day (beginning at 3:05pm except Wednesdays which is 1:35pm)

August 9th forward

Parent/Guardian Pickup

Beginning at 3:05pm Students will sit in class lines awaiting parent/guardian arrival arrival at the door to the Kindergarten hallway to pick up their child.  Staff MUST see parent/guardian and verbally dismiss students.

 

Bus Riders

Students will be grouped by bus color (as provided by Joan G. in transportation).   At 3:05 Kindergarten

teacher(s) will begin to walk and supervise students boarding their buses. 

 

         Sibling Pickup (permitted for Parent Pick Up or Walkers)

Students will be escorted by a Kindergarten teacher to the MPR and will sit quietly in front of the stage where a

Kindergarten teacher with match them with their sibling.  Siblings will then be responsible to accompany your

Kindergartener to the 1^st - 5^th parent pick up areas or begin their walk home.
