Welcome to the beginning of an exciting and wonderful school year for
you and your child. I know it is difficult for you to leave your little one
in the care of another for an entire school day, please let me assure you
that your child will be treated as a precious treasure while in the care of
the Ellsworth staff.
My name is Ms. Ciavolella (I know it's quite a mouthful) and I will be
your child's Kindergarten teacher this year. Parents and Guardians are
welcome to call me Madeline and students find it easier to call me Ms. C.
I loved being in Kindergarten so much I made a career out of it. I
look forward to sharing this very important foundational year with you and
your family. I have been very hard at work preparing for your arrival,
after all what is Kindergarten without students!
This year marks the beginning of my seventh year as a professional
educator; all of which has been spent teaching Kindergarten students (AM/PM
as well as All Day) in the JO Combs District. I have a Bachelor's Degree in
Elementary Education, a Master's Degree in Elementary Reading Instruction,
and a certificate in American Sign Language; along with endorsements in Early
Childhood Education, Elementary Reading Instruction, and Structured English
Immersion.
Let me share a little bit about my myself, I moved to Arizona ten
years ago from New York where I was born and raised. When I am not at
school, I enjoy spending time with my family, cooking, surfing the internet,
going to movies, and most of all laughing -- I just love to be silly and
laugh. I also love playing with my four-legged babies, Ginger and Mollie;
both are labrador retrievers, one is yellow and the other is brown. Can you
guess which is which? You will be hearing lots more about my furry babies
and maybe just maybe even get to meet one or both of them this year!

I cannot wait to get to know you better and share this year learning,
growing, and having fun together.
