Mr. Martin teaches biology at Kofa High School in Yuma, Az. Presently, he
teaches freshmen and is on Team G, one of the freshmen teams at the school.
Mr. Martin has taught in public schools for 10 years. He has also taught
G.E.D. courses for the Department of Interior Job Corps Center in Puxico,
Mo.
Mr. Martin graduated from M.I. College in Mississippi with a M.S. Degree in
Biology and General Science. He holds a Masters of Education in Secondary
School Administration from Southeast Missouri State University in Cape
Girardeau, MO and has completed post graduate work at University of
Wisconsin and University of Minnesota.
Prior to teaching, Mr. Martin served as a biologist/wildlife refuge
manager/refuge officer for the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (Service) in
Puxico, MO; Rochert, MN; Saginaw, MI; and Blythe, CA. Toward the end of his
tenure with the Service, he transferred to Yuma, AZ to serve as Complex
Manager of the Lower Colorado River Refuges (Imperial, Cibola, Bill Williams
River, and Havasu National Wildlife Refuges). Mr. Martin has received
numberous awards from the Service, including the completion of the Penn State
Management Service program for managers and the Federal Law Enforcement
Training Center training program at GLYNCO, GA.
