Does my child have homework every night?

Yes, your child receives a weekly homework assignment/conduct
sheet each Monday. Homework is usually spelling, reading, and
math. This year it will include the MacRo math program. Your
child is also expected to bring home any incomplete class
assignments to finish each day.

Do you accept late work?

Yes, I encourage students to take home any late or incomplete
work over the weekend. I accept late work at any time. It must
be turned in by the end of the quarter for it to count for their
grade.

What if my family has to be gone for a period of time?

If I know far enough ahead of time, I can prepare a list of work
for your child to take with him/her. Otherwise, arrangements can
be made to make up the work upon your return.

What are the District Quarterly Tests? When are they given?

Parker USD gives quarterly tests in reading, math and writing.
They measure the AZ State Standards for our grade level being
covered in each quarter. They are given the last week of each
quarter to all elementary students.

Do the Quarterly Test scores count?

Yes, I average them in with the student's classwork and homework
scores as part of their final grade for that quarter.

take phone calls, but I can return calls after school and in the
evening. I welcome your calls and quesions. Please call if I
can help!
