Hi! My name is Mrs. Ray. I really enjoy teaching 4th grade here at
LePera Elementary School. I began teaching at the old LePera School, so I
have been around here a while. I am originally from Pennyslvania, where I
graduated from Grove City College with a BA in Elementary Education. I have
since added 2 Master's degrees from Northern Arizona University, one in
Bilingual/Multicultural Education and the other in Reading and Learning
Disabilities.
In my spare time, I enjoy traveling, working on my computer, Girl
Scouting activities, playing the handbells at church, and cheering on my
favorite sports teams (the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Pittsburgh Penguins).
Recently I have developed a new hobby--showing and training my Cattle Dog
Moki. I enjoy going to the dog shows and having him compete. He recently
finished his championship title at the Flagstaff Dog show--he is now an
official AKC Champ! We are now competing for his Grand Championship title.
He will soon be competing in agility trials, too!
I firmly believe in life long education so you will always find me
taking on new challenges and learning new things. I hope that I pass along
that love of learning to each of my students.
I hope that each student tries their best to reach for their dream.
