Mrs. McKee's Homework Policy:
Homework should be expected at least twice a week. Students should be
reviewing class information daily and studying weeking vocabulary. Other
homework is assigned on an as needed basis. Students should be writing
daily activities and assignments, including any homework in their student
planner.
Weekly Science Current Event
Each student will be required to turn in a "Science Related" current event
including a completed "Science Current Event Form". The form is available in
the classrom and can be found on my "Download Documents" page on this
website. This assignment is worth 15 points and each student is expected to
turn one per week in.
If a student is absent, they are expected to turn the current event in on
Monday or the the day they return to class. Magazines and articles are
available in class for students who don't have access to computers at home.
If a student knows about an absence ahead of time it is recommended they turn
their assignment in beforehand. This assignment is not optional and failur
to hand it in could result in reducing a students grade significantly. I
consider this assignment to be a valuable learning experience for my students.
