Should my child have copies of assignments?
Yes, all students have been given copies of all assignments and clear
directions, often with rubrics for them to follow. They have also been
directed to have a dedicated section in a binder or a separate binder for
language arts. They have been advised that in the course of the school year,
they should expect a high number of handouts.
Should I assume everything is okay if I don't hear anything?
As a mother, I know that might be dangerous, but it's probably true.
However, I also appreciated good phone calls too, so you might receive one.
If I have repeated issues with your child, I guarantee you will definitely
know directly from me. I also honor achievement by sending happy grams home
with the kids as well.
If I'm not sure of something, is it okay to contact you?
Absolutely, I encourage you to call, e-mail, etc. if I can help you or your
child in any way.
Is there another way I might stay informed about ALL my child's classes?
YES, look for Wildcat Tale which is issued bi-monthly. In addition, our new
principal, Kevin Flynn, will also be sending a newsletter. Our wonderful
parent organization, PTO, also is the source of information and great
support to our learning community.
