How did the Holiday Helping Program turn out?
This year we had 18 families complete registrations and qualify for our holiday helping program. I am so happy to announce that we were able to supply
each of the families with one or two gifts/clothing items per child, a goodie bag filled with bath and hygiene items, a food box, one household item, and
the materials needed to wrap all the presents. THANK YOU so much to all of our Heights families and community members who were generous enough to donate
and contribute to this program and ensure a smile on all of our children's faces over the holidays!
When do GROUPS resume after the break?
Groups will start up again the second week of January after we return from our holiday
break. Students may be released from groups, moved into a different group, or new
students will just start in a group. Typically, groups meet once each week for a 30
minute session.
How is my child progressing in counseling?
Great question! Due to the confidential nature of school counseling, it is
often a question I receive from parents. Two times during the school year, I
will send home progress reports on students receivng ongoing-weekly counseling.
These progress reports are sent home just after Holiday Break and again at the
end of the school year. If you do not receive one, but would like an update on
your child's progress, please do not hesitate to contact me directly through this
webpage/email or by calling my office!
