About the Teacher

Welcome to AEP!!

I have been teaching in the Madison School District for 20 years. I have
taught AEP classes for 13 years in 3rd-7th grades and Music in 1st-5th
Grades. I have served as a Teacher Leader, Milken Master Teacher,
Instructional Coach, and a Professional Development School instructor during
my years in Madison.

I graduated from St. Olaf College in Northfield, MN, with a Bachelor’s Degree
in Music Education. I received my Master’s Degree in Elementary Education
from Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff. I am certified as a K-8
Teacher with endorsements in Gifted Education and Music Education.

Our family includes my husband, Len, son, Nate, and daughter-in-law, Keely.
We have two cats - Nellie, who thinks she’s a princess, and Kitz, who’s big
and cozy. I enjoy time spent with family, being at our family cabin in
Minnesota, reading for my three book clubs, walking at sunrise and Zumba. I
also do volunteer work at Cornerstone Hospice and at my church.

I look forward to a fabulous year full of learning adventures.
