Why do students attend speech therapy?

Students who attend speech therapy participate in activities to 
improve skills in articulation, expressive and receptive language
functioning, fluency,voice, augmentative/alternative
communication methods and social skills.

I have concerns about my child's speech/language development. What do I do next?

1. Express concerns to the classroom teacher, who will contact 
the speech therapist to request a screening.

2. Request a speech/language screening from the school speech
therapist through a phonecall or email.
