Students will...
Reading- Prediction
Homework: please read every night for 20-30 minutes then parent signs reading log. Remember your homework book reports (at least 1 per month).
Math - Students will solve word problems
Writing - Students will write directions
Grammar- Nouns
Science- Students will write a simple report on a person who made a contribution to our world

A Few Tid-Bits...
Parent/Teacher Conferences are February 6th-10th Parent Copy went home in Green Folders.
PICTURE DAY- OUT OF UNIFORM is Friday February 10th
*Please check your child's green "GO" home folder every night for important papers/notes to parents and student work. Please make sure it is in their backpack every day.

*All homework (signed Reading Logs) are due at the end of the month. I will remove them from GREEN their folder. Don't forget your book reports are also due once a month!
*Behavior charts are done by the students daily. Students will receive 5 tickets for "all GREEN weeks" and an eagle buck at the end of 4 weeks to reward their exceptional behavior. Remember moving a card to YELLOW is simply a warning for students to think and redirect their behavior. Parents will receive a short note (in their green folder) explaining why their child moved their card. Please sign their discipline chart every week.
*Your child may bring a water (only) bottle to school and a snack.
*Camper of the Week" is picked (randomly) on Monday. This allows one boy and one girl camper an opportunity to shine for the week. During this week, they will receive extra coupons, treats, keep the class pets on their desk, special computer privileges and a chance to show and tell "fun facts" about themselves to the class. Their completed poster (I will send home) gives everyone an opportunity to know the campers better. On their chosen week, I will put the poster in their green folder.
