Coach Sahds Eight Components of a Quality Physical Education Program.
1. A quality physical education program is organized around content standards that offer direction and continuity to instruction and evaluation.
2. A quality program is student centered and based on the development urges, characteristics, and interests of the students.
3. Quality physical education makes physical activity and motor-skill development the core of the program.
4. Quality programs teach management skills and self-discipline.
5. Quality programs emphasize inclusion of all students.
6. In a quality physical education setting, instruction focuses on the process of learning skills rather than the product or outcome of the skill performance.
7. A quality physical education program teaches lifetime activities that students can use to promote their health and personal wellness.
8. Quality physical education teaches cooperative and responsibility skills and helps students develop sensitivity to diversity and gender issue.
Every student must have a good attitude and give it their best in order to obtain full points for the day.

All Grades are accumulated on a 5 point scale; 1 point for each category.

1. Dress Code- Properly fitting gym shoes and socks; no open toed shoes, heels, boots, or dress shoes. The uniform must fit comfortably and must not restrict participation. If girls are wearing a dress, proper shorts must be work underneath.
2. Introductory Activity/Warm up - The introductory activities will occupy 5-7 minutes of the total lesson format. The purpose is to prepare students physiologically for strenuous activity.
3. Fitness Routines- The fitness routines use 15 -25 minutes of the lesson, and the primary purpose is the development of physical fitness and positive attitudes toward lifetime activity and fitness.
4. Skill Learning and Practice Activity- The Skill Learning and Practice Activity should last 10-15 minutes depending on the length of the period. This is the instructional part of the lesson, with the major emphasis on skill development, cognitive learning, and enhancement of the affective domain. This phase of the lesson contains skills to be taught, drills, and lead up activities necessary for skill practice, all of which culminate in games and tournaments.
5. Game Play- This runs hand to hand with the skill learning aspect of the class. The students will take what was taught in skill learning and apply those skills to the variety of games and tournaments that will held at the end of class.
Extra Credit-

- Go above and beyond during class.
- Show team spirit
Extra Credit outside of school will be given to those students who engage in any safe recreational activity outside of school for 30 minutes or more with a parent or guardian. A note must turned in, stating the activity performed and must be signed by both participants. Only one assignment is permissible every nine weeks and is worth a total of 10 points
Assessment- The students will assessed on a daily bases, either by formal assessment, or informal assessment.
- Informal Assessment is used to asses students by attaining knowledge about their performance, but not use to determine a grade.
- Formal Assessment is used with the intent to affect grading procedures.

R- Right to Learn: Behavior should not interfere with the learning of others.

P- Purpose: There should always be a reason and purpose behind all of your actions.

C- Challenge: Challenge yourself to higher goals; and never let fear of failure prevent you from going forward.
T- Trust/Team Building: Team spirit, sportsmanship and ability to trust each other.
Rules are an expected part of the school environment. Not following rules will lead to consequences
Consequences:
1. Verbal Warning- Reminder of the rules.
2. Time Out- Sit out of activity.
3. Notify Parents/Guardians- Parents will called and all 5 points will lost for the day
4. Remand to Green Room + Loss of 5 points
5. After School Detention/Referral + Loss of 5 points.
